During a meeting with the Vic Park Collective and the Town of Victoria Park discussing the upcoming Art Season, the idea of a walking map (for all the local street art) was thrown about. When this idea became a reality I was absolutely honoured to be asked to design it. It combined so many of my favourite things; graphic design, photography, street art, working with awesome local community groups, and all in my own neighbourhood! Big shout out to the Vic Park Collective for consistently making my neighbourhood awesome.
The added bonus was meeting lots of awesome local business owners who sponsored the map (and thus had their own advertisement on the back).
And did you spot the little nod to our local peanut shaped roundabout? It’s a well known landmark in the Vic Park area so why not make a character out of it!
Maps can be found in local businesses on the Albany Highway strip (just look for the businesses advertised above!).
